Tuition Info

$375 per school year for Symphony Orchestra
$325 per school year for Chamber and String Orchestras

Tuition includes weekly rehearsals, a variety of performance opportunities, coaching and sectionals by professionals, and the use of music.  Occasionally, additional opportunities such as travel and festival/competition participation may be available.  Since these are not annual events, they are not factored into the price of tuition. These opportunities will be clearly communicated to students and their families well in advance, to accommodate any price associated with them.

Students who participate in their school band or orchestra program will be awarded a $75 tuition scholarship per school year.   Students who homeschool, or do not have an orchestra program at their school, may contact whitney.olson@vailyouthsymphony.org for an alternative option to qualify for the scholarship.

Families with more than one child participating in VYS will receive $25 off tuition for each sibling after the first sibling.

Tuition is due by the first rehearsal of the season. Please see the student handbook for refund policies.
